ST-703Cable Fault Pinpointer
The cable fault pinpointer is based on the principle of acoustic and magnetic synchronous testing, combined with the high-voltage signal generating device, to accurately locate the power cable fault by detecting the magnetic field and sound signal discharged from the fault point of the cable.
It has the function of shielding external noise. The detection method is mainly based on earphone listening recognition.
The cable direction should be consistent with the words direction on the cable fault pinpointer. The cable discharge generates a magnetic field, and the cable fault pinpointer flashes synchronously.
Move at intervals of about 0.5~2m, and listen carefully to the "pop, pop" sound in the earphone. The sound is loudest directly above the fault point, and the sound gradually decreases away from the fault point. Find the place with the loudest sound and start excavatioTest experience
Test experience
When the Cable Test High Voltage Signal Generator input a DC high-voltage shock to the faulty cable, the fault point is punctured and discharged. The mechanical vibration generated by the discharge is transmitted to the ground. The vibration signal is picked up by a highly sensitive sensor. After amplification, the "pop, pop" sound can be heard by listening with headphones. The sound is loudest directly above the fault point and gradually decreases away from the fault point.
