Application Of RFID Technology in Power Inspection

1. Project background

1.1 general

With the development of society and the improvement of modernization, electricity is playing a more and more important role in social life and social production. The vast majority of household appliances and production equipment rely on electricity. Power transmission equipment is an important guarantee for power source. Once a fault or accident occurs in the safe operation of a certain equipment, it will not only bring inconvenience to people's life and production in a certain area, but also paralyze people's life and production, and may affect the whole network, resulting in huge social impact and economic losses, Therefore, the safe operation of power transmission equipment is the top priority of all work. However, the current management of power transmission equipment still adopts the mode of combination of regular maintenance and post maintenance, which lacks dynamic control of equipment conditions, can not highlight the key points in maintenance, and some hidden equipment has not been fully and thoroughly overhauled.

Power equipment inspection, as a new equipment management mode, through periodic inspection and maintenance of equipment, has become a very effective method to find equipment faults in time and eliminate accidents in the bud. It plays an important role in improving the success rate of unit startup and unit availability, and ensuring the normal operation of power transmission equipment. Therefore, it is of great significance to strengthen the equipment inspection of power plant.

1.2 management status

Patrol inspection is a basic work to ensure the safety of power equipment. It can improve the reliability of power equipment and ensure that the equipment is in a small failure rate. However, at present, the working mode of manual patrol inspection and manual paper record is widely used in China. Due to the lack of effective supervision measures, there are many human factors, high management cost and inability to supervise the work of patrol inspectors Low informatization of patrol inspection data. At the same time, in the line inspection work, some lines may be difficult for personnel to reach, or they cannot be reached due to faults, so it is necessary to obtain these equipment information at a long distance in time, and the traditional way can not meet such requirements.

2. RFID Power Patrol application

RFID is a non-contact two-way data transmission between reader and RF tag by using radio frequency to achieve the purpose of target identification and data exchange. The reader sends a certain frequency RF signal through the transmitting antenna. When the RF tag enters the working area of the transmitting antenna, the induced current is generated, and the energy obtained by the RF tag is activated; The RF tag sends its own coding and other information through the built-in transmitting antenna of the card; The system receiving antenna receives the carrier signal sent from the RF tag and transmits it to the reader through the antenna regulator. The reader demodulates and decodes the received signal, and then sends it to the background main system for related processing.

RFID technology has the characteristics of non-contact, fast reading speed, no wear, long service life and easy to use. It can be used in various harsh environments. At the same time, RFID tag has the characteristics of large storage capacity, long distance, multi-target identification and penetration of most media identification. Its application in power inspection projects can highlight various inspection disadvantages and create a more intelligent and effective power inspection system.

3. System design

RFID power inspection system consists of on-site power equipment and card issuing equipment, electronic tags, mobile data acquisition terminals and application systems.

3.1 system architecture

Overall structure of power system

(1) the card issuing equipment mainly completes the data initialization of the electronic tag and writes the specific asset code and other information of the power company into the electronic tag;

(2) the electronic tag is used to store the detailed data information and historical verification information of the equipment;

(3) the mobile data acquisition terminal is a tool for patrol operation. It can patrol the designated equipment of the designated unit according to the task transmitted by the PC application program, record the patrol results, and then transmit the field data to the PC background management system through the wireless communication network;

(4) the equipment application server is responsible for customer management, data sorting and other operations, and interacts with the database server;

(5) the database server is responsible for storing basic data and parameter information of power equipment, query and statistics of RFID electronic tag information, user management, help and other information.

3.2 system flow

3.2.1 electronic label issuing

Card issuing is to complete the initialization of electronic label information and establish basic data. Because most power equipment are made of metal, the electronic label used in this scheme is anti metal label. This kind of tag is different from the general inlay tag. It can be printed directly by the RFID printer. As a special-shaped tag, it can only be issued one by one through the RFID card issuer. RFID card issuers with group card writing function will greatly improve the card issuing efficiency in this link, especially suitable for anti metal and other special-shaped tags.

3.2.2 patrol inspection

When carrying RFID mobile data acquisition terminal for patrol inspection, the patrol inspector reads the electronic tag through the mobile receipt acquisition terminal to obtain the relevant information of the equipment, takes photos of the equipment according to the situation, and records the operation of the equipment and the execution of the characters. If a fault is found, the fault type, equipment number and other information will be sent to the background management system in combination with the current mobile data acquisition terminal.

The background management system reads and stores the information sent back by the mobile data acquisition terminal, decomposes the fault sending time, place, equipment type and discoverer, and automatically stores these information in the database server and publishes them on the Internet at the same time. In addition, the system displays the patrol status in real time, such as each fault point, emergency, treatment and current status of various faults, as well as the position and patrol route of each patrol personnel at a certain time. The system can also count, summarize and analyze all kinds of historical data stored in the database, and display the frequency and object of various faults in a certain period of time with various charts or statements for managers to predict and analyze, so as to strengthen management and formulate countermeasures, achieve the purpose of prior control, finally reduce the accident rate and ensure the safe operation of power equipment.

3.3 implementation benefits

the power patrol inspection system based on RFID technology can solve the problems existing in the patrol inspection of power enterprises and bring practical benefits to enterprises, mainly reflected in the following aspects:

it is convenient for inspectors to inspect and submit inspection results, and reduces the probability of human error;

ensure that patrol inspection personnel are in place, and ensure patrol inspection quality and management efficiency of patrol inspection work;

the substantial improvement of patrol inspection quality and efficiency ensures the stable operation of power transmission equipment, takes preventive measures, reduces the failure rate and reduces the operation cost of the enterprise;

improve the data analysis and statistics functions, and improve the efficiency of managers in dealing with defects

4. Hardware equipment selection

In Power Patrol inspection, RFID mobile data acquisition terminal is the key data acquisition equipment. To meet the needs of the system, it not only needs a long reading distance and stable reading performance, but also strives to be miniaturized, so as to facilitate the long-term use of patrol inspection personnel.
